The Life Of A Knight

An attempt (usually a successful one) to transfer the participants of the event to gloomy medieval times. This time travel will not be difficult since the entire event is taking place in one of the medieval castles of Pomorze. The Travel Agency JOYTRIP.PL suggests that an integration event or corporate event of this kind should be organized in two scenes:
SCENE I: Knight Tournament
During this activity the knights will demonstrate the art of mastering arms display, and instruct the more courageous participants. Moving to some other epoch you will learn to handle a rapier or pike or to shoot a musket. During any free time you will be familiarised with the camp dances and, in a surge of kind-heartedness, the officers will proudly display their art of using weapons.
To which epoch do you want to move? It depends on you – there are a lot of options:
1409 – the visit of Komtur
1624 – enrolment in the Foreign Foot Regiment

17th century – common movement (pospolite ruszenie) to the offensive against the enemies of Rzeczpospolita

1904 – Birthday of the Chief Officer of Zuchthaus

The character of this event is a living contact with the history and customs of castle life. At the end of the event it will turn out that the Medieval epoch, either the late Middle Ages or the Dark Ages, when seen through this perspective do not seem that gloomy.

SCENE II Evening Banquet in the Castle

The place itself – a gothic castle – medieval red, brick masonry – the smell of fire in the fireplace – cloisters and the inside lit with torches make an incredible effect. Yet, the organiser provides something superb!

Faithfully recreated medieval costumes will be worn not only by the strolling staff catering the party, but also by the participants themselves. Apart from that – a banquet hosted by the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, with grub not unworthy of monks, with booze from the castle cellars and with medieval music!

Yet, the plebs as well as the petty bourgeois will not so easily sit at one table with the Grand Master! First the keenness of their intellect and the strength and flexibility of their bodies will be tested. The group is divided into three smaller patrols (creative groups) and sent on their way through the nooks and recesses of the castle. All must join in to carry out the tasks which move them closer to the banquet!

  • Musicians
